Universal ClassEnroll in up to 5 Continuing Education Courses at a time free with your library card number (number on the back of your library card). You have 6 months to complete each course. You will need to have a valid e-mail address to sign up for courses. You have access to your course 24/7 via the Internet. Do assignments on your own schedule. Each course has a real instructor who you may communicate with by e-mail. These are non-credit courses and are provided for your personal enrichment. They are not intended to be a substitute for any state, government, licensing, or educational requirements. |

Online Book Clubs
Join our Email Book Clubs. Every day, Monday through Friday, you will receive in your email a five-minute selection from a chapter of a book. By the end of the week, you'll have read 2-3 chapters. If you want to continue reading the book, a link to the library catalog is included in the email so you can put the book on reserve. (If you don't know how to reserve books online, call us at (740) 392-BOOK and we can place the reserve for you.) Every Monday we start new books. Book clubs for many different genres are available. Sign up and start reading. |

Animated Ebooks for Children
TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of TumbleBooks – animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you. |

Learn a Foreign Language
Transparent Languages with Byki is a powerful language learning system that uses flashcards to teach you a set of words or phrases. It is the fastest possible way to lock foreign words and phrases in your long term memory. Most foreign languages are available including English as a second language training for many foreign language speakers. BYKI provides both online access to language learning programs and downloadable language resources that may be accessed through the Byki mobile application on Iphone, Ipad, Ipad Touch and Android devices. Patrons must sign up for Transparent Languages with Byki on a library computer to establish a user name and password. Then the service may be accessed through the Internet from any computer. |

Test Prep, Computer Courses, Job & Career
Learning Express has test preparation for GED, ACT, ASVAB, SAT and much more! It has homework help for all grades and also has free online courses for many popular software programs, including many in Microsoft Office. The career resource center allows patrons to search for jobs, create resumes and strengthen job search skills, among other things. Patrons must sign up for Learning Express on a library computer to establish a user name and password. Then the service may be accessed through the Internet from any computer. |
